Glue ear, a blockage of
the ears following a bout of the common cold, is
one of the causes of mild hearing loss in children.
The hearing loss may cause the child to become distracted,
naughty and even aggressive as a result of not hearing
properly. As adults we know how uncomfortable and
annoying it feels to have blocked ears.
It is important to check your
child’s hearing, especially before starting
school, as a mild hearing loss may lead to speech
and language delays as well as learning difficulties. |
