Single Sided Deafness?
-B.A.H.A. is now available in Bondi Junction
Deafness in one ear is a handicap
suffered by many. It may have been present since birth,
the result of an accident, or due to an acquired illness
such as mumps or other viral infection.

|
Single sided deafness also
makes it impossible to localise sounds.
According to Bondi Junction audiologist, Celene McNeill,
having one completely normal hearing ear and an opposite
deaf ear creates a lot of problems hearing in group
conversations and in background noise situations -
a serious disadvantage at meetings and at social functions.
An innovative product called a Bone Anchored Hearing
Aid, or B.A.H.A is a new solution to minimise the
problems of single sided deafness. |
