Perilymph fistula

A perilymphatic fistula refers to a condition where there is a tear in the membrane separating the fluid in the inner ear from the middle ear, causing perilymph leakage. It is most commonly caused by a trauma to the head or big pressure changes such as deep diving. Typical symptoms of a perilymph fistula include hearing loss, fullness in the ear, and dizziness.
