Ototoxicity
Ototoxic drugs are medications , like certain antibiotics and chemotherapy drugs, that may cause harm to the inner ear. Ototoxicity refers to these harmful effects.
Ototoxic substances can damage the structures responsible for hearing and balance, leading to symptoms such as hearing loss, ringing in the ears (tinnitus), dizziness, and imbalance.
